A Homemade Stain Remover That Will Save Your Sanity

If you have kids you need this stain remover. Enough said. Kids are messy little things that can’t help but stain up every piece of clothing. Or maybe it’s just my toddler. I think you’ll love how easy this stain remover is to make and it’s frugal too. I also use it on carpet stains–when my crazy girl smooshes her strawberries into my carpet. **I don’t even want to buy strawberries anymore**

I feel like the picture below accurately depicts my child. She is messy! But this stuff really works, it’s better than buying a bottle of chemicals and did I mention it really works?

Messy Kids who Need a Stain Remover.

You need:

1 part Dawn blue dish soap (I’ve only used the original Dawn)
2 parts Hydrogen peroxide
Spray bottle from the dollar store

Pour in the dawn, add in the hydrogen peroxide and shake up the bottle a bit to mix it up. Store in a cool, dark place. I keep it in my laundry room

This DIY stain remover will help keep you sane. No more wondering if this stain of who-knows-what will come out in the wash. It will!

You do have to be intentional though, this means when you notice the stain, spray it and wash it. This worked last week when my dad gave my daughter ice cream, you know the messy kind that is all sorts of colors. My daughter had ice cream all over her brand new unicorn shirt. When we returned home I had her change her clothes, sprayed the entire shirt and washed right away. Every stain was gone. Shirt looked good as new and I was happy!
