Trim Healthy Mama Cookbook Review

Why you need to run out and buy this book today! Trim-Healthy-MamaWritten by two sisters Pearl Barrett and Serene Allison, authors of Trim Healthy Mama Plan, this companion cookbook is amazing and has over 350 healthy recipes.

The book is divided into one-pot meals with some great recipes for your crockpot and skillet, hearty mains and sides that start with oven dishes and end with pizzas and breads. Finally a healthy pizza and bread recipe! The cookbook also has great ideas for large family salads and quick single serve salads. There is also a sweet treats section with things like slushies, lemon cake and brownies. What more can you ask for? But wait, there is more! Tons of recipes for milkshakes, smoothies and fat-stripping frappas!

What I love the best:

  • The pictures! They literally make you want to jump up and start cooking!
  • That this is a lifestyle change and all the recipes are family friendly. No more counting points or calories
  • I CAN have oatmeal, breads, waffles, pancakes and even a volcano mudslide muffin for breakfast!
  • I love the crockpot section, so many great and frugal ideas
  • I can plan all of the meals for myself and my family and still stay within my budget!

I highly recommend this book if you have already read or plan to read the Trim Healthy Mama Plan, seeing the recipes really helped me make sense of the plan.
