I have three boys in public school right now. As a working mom I don’t always have time to volunteer but I try to do my best to help out. I donate needed items like boxes of kleenex and hand sanitizer. I also like to send in box tops.
Box tops are found on certain items in the grocery store and if you clip them and send them over to your school, you school redeems each box top for 10 cents.
There are tons of products that have box tops. We found cookies at HEB and had fun baking together and of course eating the cookies! And when we buy cereal I make sure it’s a brand that has box tops attached. Clipping box tops is such an easy way to help out our Texas schools.
I personally believe education is so important. As a parent my goal is to encourage my children to keep learning ALL THE TIME! I don’t want anything (like lack of money in a school’s budget) to hold my kids back. Right now there’s a sweepstakes going on. Twenty Texas schools will win a bonus of 20,000 box tops which is $2,000. I wonder what our schools would do with an extra 2 grand in the budget?
Go to CashForYourEducation.com and click on Support Your School! You can even do this if you live outside of Texas! Just make sure to choose a Texas school.
Spread the word, share this post! We need to help support our schools and our children’s education!

I love Box Tops! My son is in high school and for some reason they don’t take them anymore. I save them for a neighbor who is younger, though – so worth it! #HomeMattersParty

We always save box tops for our school! Our school has a week-long contest between grades to see who can bring the most in 🙂
This is such a great program. I did it with my kids for years & now give them to my coworker. Every bit helps! #HomeMattersParty

It really is so simple Crystal. I have a baggie I keep them in and when I fill it up half way I send it in.
I collect them for my kids’ school too. My daughter is on the lookout in our pantry all the time now for them and I’m finding places she’s cut them off boxes LOL
Lol that is so funny Cindy. My boys don’t cut them out for me. It falls on me to get them off the packages before the packages get recycled.
