Easy Spooky Hairstyle For Halloween

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of JOHNSON’S in collaboration with #WeAllGrow Latina Network. The opinions and text are all mine.

Halloween is one of my family’s favorite holidays. We love Halloween parties, trick-or-treating and of course, dressing up! This year I came up with an easy and spooky hairstyle for Halloween. My daughter is 3 (total threenager) and I knew she would love the idea of spiders and skulls in her hair. She’s totally obsessed with everything Halloween!

The bad part is that Gabby doesn’t let me do her hair. Like never. It’s literally like pulling teeth to get Gabby to sit still while I brush and style her hair. I’m pretty sure she hates the detangling part. So this time we tried something different.

I started out by washing Gabby’s hair with JOHNSON’S® NO MORE TANGLES® shampoo and conditioner. After washing her hair I put in the Johnson’s no more tangles conditioner and then I sprayed her hair with detangling spray.  I love how the formula is gentle on her hair, cleanses it well and is gentle on her eyes. This 3 step routine unlocks 75% of knots and leaves hair smelling fresh and looking healthy and beautiful!

Gabby’s hair is growing fast and tangles easily. I like how the detangling spray unlocks the knots in her hair whether her hair is wet or dry. And the spray doesn’t have to be rinsed out so it’s perfect for touching up hair while on the go! I’ll definitely be packing this the next time we go swimming.

Remember Gabby hates when I brush her hair, so I kept her busy. There’s no shame in bribing and I gave her chocolate chip cookies while I detangled her hair!

After Gabby’s hair was tangle free I split the top half up into 3 quick french braids. I then braided those together and added in the hair from the bottom of her head. Spooky hairstyle for halloween
I bought plastic spider and skull rings at the dollar store and cut them so I could clip the rings into her hair.

I really love how Gabby’s hair turned out! It’s cute and spooky and so easy to do. Who cares if I had to bribe her with chocolate chip cookies?!

I am so happy that her hair turned out so well and don’t get me started on how much she loved the pumpkin shirt we bought her for Halloween this year!  I had tons of fun eating cookies, doing Gabby’s hair, telling spooky stories and seeing her smile, laugh and be her beautiful self.

  3. This is seriously cute! I think my toddler’s hair might just be long enough too add some spooky things. But, I’m not sure if she would keep them in. 😉

My daughter does not usually let me do her hair so I was surprised she kept the rings in. Just keep it in mind for next year, she’ll be older and might keep them in.

  4. Nice post baby and her hair. She is looking so cool.
