During these last 4 weeks I’ve seen visible results in my arms and legs. Not only the visible results but things like increased strength, my clothes fit better, clothing I thought would never fit now fits perfectly! These are my 4 week results from Jamie Eason’s LiveFit Program. Keep reading to learn more about the workout program.
Honestly, I wasn’t sure if I’d write about my workout routine on the blog. I share my workouts on IG pretty much daily but I never feel consistent enough to start a blog series about working out.
Here’s why: I’ll start off strong with a new workout routine. I’ll be LOVING the workout and doing good for a while and then…life gets in the way. I put my health on the back burner and stop working out. Have you ever done that?
My Way Back to Living Healthy – Skip This Part if You Don’t Care
In January of 2019 (still motivated by the #NewYearNewYou) I started a gym membership and tried Zumba for the first time. Zumba was waaaaaaay outta my comfort zone, not going to lie. But, I loved it. I kept going twice a week and learned all the dance routines. I made new friends and gained so much confidence!
The problem: I wasn’t doing much besides Zumba and maybe some time on the treadmill or stair machine. I hate the stair machine..just so you know. So, while I lost a little bit of weight it I knew I needed to incorporate weight training to see results.
Fast forward a few months and I started doing private training sessions. I think we (my husband and I) did those for about 6 weeks. These were workouts our trainer would show us how to do once and then it was up to us to complete the workouts throughout the week.
Results here were good – I lost a few pounds and inches. Clothes fit better and more confidence. The problem? After our personal training sessions ended we didn’t keep up with the workouts.
Now, enter my sister (the better half of Latina Money Moms) she encouraged me to start LiveFit program here.
Jamie Eason’s LiveFit 12 Week Trainer Program Phase 1
The program is broken down into 3 phases. This blog post will cover phase 1 (since that is what I just completed!) and will link to a review of the rest of the phases as well.
Phase 1 is weightlifting only, there is no cardio involved. Whaaat? No cardio!? Nope. Not even one day with cardio exercises. So really, there’s no excuse to NOT try this.
Phase 1 includes weeks 1-4 and there is lifting 4 -5 days per week.
You will need a gym membership. There is no way I would have been able to do this program from home because I don’t have the different weights and machines needed for the exercises. That being said, I can’t complain about getting out to the gym. I work from home so it was nice to force myself get out of the house each day.
I had not used most of the machines and weights since my mid 20’s so whenever I encountered an exercise I wasn’t sure about I just watched a video to learn the technique.
I am no fitness expert. Not even a little bit. And I was still able to complete phase 1.
After Livefit Phase 1 I noticed:
- my thighs are slimmer and so strong
- my arms are more defined
- inches lost in my abdomen
- down about 5lbs but it’s the same 5lbs I have been gaining and losing and I expect to see weight loss during the next two phases
- my shirts and pants fit better
- a waist trainer I bought months ago and never used (because I could not put it on myself) now fits

What You Need to Know About Jamie Eason’s LiveFit Program
The program includes a meal plan which seems pretty easy to follow. I didn’t follow the meal plan during phase 1 and I have not yet decided if I want to follow the meal plan for phase 2 or phase 3.
Whether or not you decide to follow the meal plan be sure to stock up on healthy snacks: salads, veggies and lots of fruits like strawberries and blueberries or bananas, and protein shakes. My favorite protein shake is the chocolate flavor of Premier Protein. I blend it with half a frozen banana and a tablespoon of peanut butter. It’s really delicious!
There are a ton of resources in the program and there are even at home workouts for the days you can’t make it into the gym.
Having a day by day plan of what I needed to do workout wise really made a difference. I was worried I wouldn’t stick to the workout plan or that I’d miss days and give up.
I did skip days. A few times during this last month I was extremely sore or something would prevent me from working out. Instead of feeling bad about myself and quitting or self-sabotaging I simply completed the missed workout the following day. No biggie!
Just so you know, you are going to get sore. Get yourself a massager, a foam roller and be prepared to take warm salt baths. Those all help the soreness!
