Why I Love My Fitbit Charge HR

The Fitbit Charge HR is a handy activity tracker/watch that counts my steps, calories, floors climbed, heart rate and distance and it’s a sleep tracker!

So you know, I am the kind of girl that really needs motivation. Like visual motivation to get up and get going! I don’t know why…oh yes I do, I’m a little bit lazy when it comes to working out!

My brother-in-law (who is AWESOME) bought me the Fitbit Charge HR. My sister and I are “friends” on the app and we can challenge each other and see who is walking more throughout the week. It’s a friendly and competitive way to keep moving!

Typical Day with my Fitbit Charge HR

Fitbit Charge HR: what a typical day looks like for me when I wear my Fitbit.

What I Like About the Fitbit Charge HR

      • Watch setting: My last tracker (Misfit Shine ) had a watch setting but not in a display mode, you had to tap the misfit and it would light up on what time it was. I like that with the Fitbit Charge HR, you can flick your wrist and the screen will display the time.
      • Step counter: I really like the step counter since my personal goal is getting to 10,000 steps per day. I have my Fitbit set up so that it automatically syncs to my app daily, anytime I want to see how many steps I am at I can check my Fitbit or the app. I can even see how many steps ahead I am from my sister!
      • Heart rate: This comes in handy when exercising. You can quickly check to see if you are within your target heart range.
      • Distance: Usually my 10,000 steps equal out to about 5 miles.
      • Calories: I don’t count calories because I follow Trim Healthy Mama but it’s cool to see how many I burned!
      • Floors climbed: I’ll admit it, this makes me use the stairs more!
      • Silent Alarms: Through the app, you can set silent alarms to remind you to do anything! I have one set for 0530 every day. I don’t know why since I no longer sleep with my FitBit on, it’s depressing to see how little sleep I get!

Overall Assessment:

I wear my Fitbit Charge HR every single day. I bought the one in black and my sister has the one in purple, we both ordered them in small. I charge mine each night and it’s good to go in the morning. You can set your goal through the app and once you reach your goal the Fitbit will vibrate and the screen will show a message. If you have a fitbit and would like some friendly competition add me! 2. Do you sync the fitbit with your phone, and does it matter what kind of phone you have? I am thinking about getting one to track my heart rate when exercising. I’m glad I stumbled across your review!

  7. Fitbits are so popular right now, and they seem absolutely amazing! I saw a funny cartoon this week about a lady telling her husband that she couldn’t get out of bed yet because her Fitbit was charging and her steps wouldn’t count. I laughed SO hard! Thanks for sharing this awesome information at the #HomeMattersParty 🙂
