One thing you should know about me is that I love easy things. Easy recipes, easy crafts and easy games to play with the kids.
We love UNO and the Monopoly Credit Card game. Family game night around here is full of competition, snacks and fun!
Making sure the activities I do with the kids are not too complicated gives me a little breathing room, lets me relax a bit.
Which is why I love making this sidewalk chalk paint recipe. Guys, it’s SO easy. I threw 2 of the ingredients into my shaker bottle and gave it a good shake. The base was done and all I had to do is add food coloring.
I even let my daughter (she’s 3) help shake and mix in the colors she wanted. Gabby gets so excited when I let her help me with anything in the kitchen.
And I gotta keep this girl busy, she’s my very curious child and she can get into everything. (AKA–I have to watch her like a hawk to make sure she don’t mess up all my stuff up!)
Like my makeup that ended up in the toilet, my scrapbooking supplies that were somehow ruined, and my 3 favorite purple bowls that were all broken over a span of several days.
I’m not keeping count guys, I would just like to keep my stuff out of toilets and garbage cans, ya know?

WHY YOU SHOULD MAKE SIDEWALK CHALK PAINT TODAY
Making homemade sidewalk chalk paint is actually really fun! I’m all for crafts and recipes that don’t end up as a huge #fail. Been there, done that!
Seriously though, this is a fun way to keep kids busy. And I like painting outside too. When Gabby and I were playing outside with this chalk paint I kept trying to sneak away from painting and just practice taking pictures of her.
She wasn’t having it – she kept telling me I was supposed to be playing with her. And as usual, Gabsters was right.
So I didn’t quite get the shots I wanted. But I did have fun with one of my greatest loves. That’s plenty enough for me!
