Happy Nurses Week to all the wonderful and amazing nurses out there! Sometimes it can feel that nurses are overworked and under appreciated. But, this is our week to feel special. I love celebrating nurses week each year. Celebrating nurses is a fun way to show appreciation to those that are often so giving of their time and resources.
To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived, that is to have succeeded. – Ralph Waldo Emerson
I love being a nurse for so many reasons:
- The tools to do my job can be super cute! Like this awesome pink Littmann Stethoscope
- Or my FAVORITE pens ever!
- I’m a leader . Whether I want to be a leader or not, people look up to me for answers. I’m responsible for being compassionate, providing the best patient care and empowering others through education.
- I wear scrubs to work. Which basically means I am in comfy PJ’s that are acceptable to wear in public! Yesss!
- As a nurse you have the power to change a life every single day.**This is my favorite reason 🙂
There are way too many reasons to list. One thing is for sure. I love what I do. I am out of bed every morning looking forward to whatever the day may bring.
How cute is this?! I found the printable at an awesome blog called This and That . A fellow nurse and I made a few gift bags with this printable. If you know an awesome nurse (I bet you do) you can print this out tonight!
Just for fun I have to include some hilarious Nurse Memes!
This is me and another cool nurse at our pinning ceremony!
If you are a nurse, tell me what is your favorite part about nursing. If you know a nurse, tell me how awesome they are!
