Things to Do in El Paso with Kids

We recently spent time with my sister and her family in El Paso, Texas. We’ve been there a few times now but this summer was our first time staying for nearly a week.

El Paso is so different from San Antonio!

Let me explain— in San Antonio we can find breakfast tacos anywhere and everywhere. Bean and cheese, egg and bean….ya know the drill.

This one restaurant in El Paso was so confused when we asked for bean cheese tacos. We ended up with corn tortillas, non refried beans and white cheese tacos. It was really different!

My sister said she didn’t know of any local places that had breakfast tacos other than barbacoa tacos.

Anyways. That’s my only complaint. Not enough options for breakfast tacos. 🙂

If you find yourself heading to El Paso with your kids here are a few fun things we did that y’all might like too.

Fun Things To Do In El Paso With Kids

Oasis Bowling

We had so much fun bowling! They also have an arcade and the kids had tons of fun running around in there. My favorite game was Deal or No Deal.

Spray park at The Fountains at Farah

This fun spray park is in the middle of an outdoor shopping center. You can eat out at places like Chuy’s or P.F. Chang’s and then take the kids to the splash pad. Make sure to pack bathing suits, sunscreen and towels.

My sister took my kids and they had tons of fun! Plus they were tired out for the 8 hour drive home, bonus!

Take a ride to New Mexico

We visited the casino area Inn of The Mountain Gods, they have a spectacular view of the lake. You can zip line, go boating and fish here. They also have batting cages and a tiny arcade.

My favorite part was watching the water and taking pictures with my family.

We also drove over to Ruidoso and visited Cafe Rio for their famous pizzas and an ice cream treat. We were not disappointed and this place is definitely worth the wait!
