Simple Thanksgiving Party For Kids

I really love doing crafts and games with the kids. Especially around the holidays. I feel like spending time together doing something fun helps grow us as a family. I’ve been doing mini parties for the kids ever since my nephews were born (before I had kids) and the parties range from tons of games planned with prizes to doing a simple craft and having dinner together. Whatever I plan, my kids love the one on one time they get with me, and I love that. This year we had a Halloween Party and since Thanksgiving is right around the corner I planned a simple Thanksgiving party for kids.

I’m Thankful For You Party

We’ve had some rough patches with the kids which I’m sure you know all about if you read this post.

Either way, I wanted the kids to know how thankful I am to have them. Yes. All 5 of them! 😉

I planned this as an after school surprise. You wouldn’t believe how excited they were. They walked in and found this! Just look at her face!!!!!!Thanksgiving party for kids

I filled the gift bags with treats that I don’t usually buy them. I added in a Turkey Craft in each bag so we could make the together. And they had a blank sheet of paper where they had to write down what they were grateful for this year. I loved hearing those responses. My 3 yr old said she was grateful for me!

A peek into our snack bags…Thanksgiving party for kids

I’m pretty sure I made mistake by giving Gabriella her snack bag before dinner. She ate just about everything the same night and refused dinner. In her exact words “dinner is for boys.”  *sigh* Thanksgiving party for kids

After digging into the donuts, mini cupcakes and pie we started crafting. I love how easy these cute turkeys were to put together. They are adhesive pieces and stick together well. I added magnetic tape onto the back of each one and now they are displayed on our fridge.

Isn’t the blue one the cutest? I made him 🙂 Thanksgiving party for kids

I think the we had the most fun playing around with the various photo props. I just love that little turkey mask!

I know we’ll have fun playing around with the photo props again during our Thanksgiving dinner this year.

For this party I ordered:

I was happy with the quality of all of the items I received and love how easy it is to shop online and have all the party items delivered right to my door.

I’m already planning a Christmas Game Night for the kids with everything from Oriental Trading, so don’t forget to check back early December!
