Passion Planner Review

Chances are since it’s still the beginning of a new year, you might be on the lookout for a new planner. Last year I used the  Erin Condren Life Planner and while I loved it last year, this year I’m trying out something new: the Passion Planner.

I feel like this planner is a complete game changer and it’s enabling me to focus on my priorities (on most days, I’m not perfect people) AND get stuff done!

What is it?

The passion planner is a planner that is the “one place for your thoughts.” This planner helps you break down your goals (both long and short term) and helps you incorporate them into your daily life.

There is space for your appointments, sketches, journaling (if you please) and still enough room to have a bill paying system, blank pages at the end (I use them for blogging ideas) as well as grid pages.

Set up:

Passion Roadmap “If you could be anything, do anything, or have anything, what would it be?” This area helps you map out your ideal life, and brainstorm the goals you need to reach to get you there.

Monthly Layouts The monthly layouts are perfect for writing in appointments. Listing your top personal and work projects and keeping track of what you’re up to.

Weekly Layouts Each week is set up with time blocking. The top left corner has a box to write down This Week’s Focus + Good Things That Happened. There’s also a quote to keep you positive and a new tip focusing on productivity and positivity.

The Work and Personal to-do lists help you stay on top of things that need to get done. And the Space of Infinite Possibility is a great place to doodle or if  you suck at drawing (like I do) you can use this as your meal planning area.

Reflection Pages The end of each month has a 2 page spread dedicated to reviewing the previous month and answering questions like:

  • What was the most memorable part of this past month?
  • What were the three biggest lessons you learned in this past month?
  • Review your planner and assess your priorities. Are you happy with how you spent your time?
  • What or who are you especially grateful for this past month?

Blank and Grid pages The last pages in your passion planner are blank pages and grid pages. I use the blank pages to write out my editorial calendar and write out the processes I use for blogging and any notes I need related to blogging.

The grid pages are my favorite! I use the grid pages for my bill paying system. And I’ll be adding in a “Username & Password” list.

How can the passion planner be used in daily life?

This is the best part. You can integrate pretty much everything into your passion planner. Like to sketch? There’s room to sketch in the back and in the Infinite Space of Possibility area each week.

Use the monthly layout to write out birthdays, reminders and appointments.

Use the weekly layout to time block your life and see where you are spending the bulk of your time.

Separate your personal to-do list from your work to-do list. Make a list of things you need to declutter.

Use it to inspire yourself. Work on the passion roadmap and dream big. Follow your steps and achieve your goals. It really is that simple. Do it.

Looking for a way to organize your life with a planner? It's possible. I use the Passion Planner and in this post I break down each section of the passion planner and how it can help you live a more organized life.
Don’t forget to PIN! 🙂

Pros

  • The compact planner fits in my purse. I love that!
  • The weekly quote.
  • The weekly positivity/productivity tip.
  • Separating my to-do list from my work to-list.
  • Blank area each week for meal planning.
  • You can get as creative (or not) as you want.
  • The look and set up of the monthly layout is great. Enough room to write in appointments or journal about each day.
  • I can fit my blogging ideas, content calendar into the blank pages-no need for a separate calendar.
  • I can use the grid pages for easy bill paying reminders-no need for a separate calendar.
  • There’s a pocket in the very back. I use it to hold some stickers.

Cons

  • Some of you may not like the tiny space to write  (again this is for the compact planner) in the weekly layout.

  1. Love how well detailed this post is! I received a life planner two years ago as a birthday gift from my sister. It really is a great planner. I loved that it has a section of reflection each month and also how much space I had to write my to do list and blog post ideas!
