5 Healthy Snack Ideas For Working Moms

This week has been crazy busy, even though I recently lost my job, I’ve been busier than usual. Busy is good, keeps my mind working and keeps me feeling productive. The problem this week is that I’ve been so busy and haven’t packed lunches or snacks. So I’ve either forgotten to eat or I gave in to my hangry-ness and went through the drive-thru a few times this week. I really don’t want to spend money or eat unhealthy foods so I decided to round up a few healthy snack ideas for us!

I chose snacks that incorporated protein. Protein keeps me full longer and if I’m full I’m less likely to go through the drive-thru or choose junk foods.

I feel like these are perfect snacks to have before lunch or before dinner. You can click on any of the pictures and you’ll get to the blog post that will tell you more about each snack idea.

I’m excited to meal prep this week and incorporate healthier snacks into my days!

This snack is as easy cutting up cheese and adding chopped ham, or pepperoni. I love how she uses silicone baking thingys to hold the food.

yogurt

After having Chick-Fil-A’s yogurt parfait I became addicted to vanilla yogurt. I buy the HEB brand vanilla flavor and add frozen fruit at home. I think it’s such a great idea to have these ready in my fridge for myself or the kids. I love snacking on yogurt while I’m making dinner! I’m always hungry while I’m cooking.

egg-tomatoes

On Sunday I’ll try to boil 2 dozen eggs to have ready in the fridge for the week. I keep them unpeeled in my fridge and just grab and go.
