BUMBLEBEE MOVIE ORNAMENT PARTY

This is a sponsored post.

Each year we make ornaments for our Christmas tree. This year we partnered with #BumblebeeMovie for a Bumblebee ornament party.

In the past, our ornament parties were a bit hectic. We had homemade cookies and hot chocolate, a lot of painting and more of a mess! This year we kept things simple by:

  • Making a large batch of hot chocolate instead of individual cups one at a time.
  • Pre-painting the ornaments.
  • Not baking cookies. We had Oreos!

On the run in the year 1987, Bumblebee finds refuge in a junkyard in a small Californian beach town. Charlie (Hailee Steinfeld), on the cusp of turning 18 and trying to find her place in the world, discovers Bumblebee, battle-scarred and broken. When Charlie revives him, she quickly learns this is no ordinary, yellow VW bug.

DIY TRANSFORMERS ORNAMENTS

We painted wood ornaments and decorated the ornaments with different Transformers faces.

To make the party easier (and cleaner) I painted the wooden ornaments. I knew it would be better to let the kids decorate the ornaments after the paint – otherwise the paint process would take too long and probably make too much of a mess.

To make our ornaments Bumblebee themed we filled clear ornaments with black and yellow beads and made a necklace out of the beads as well.

Can you tell the kids were excited? They all wanted to wear masks and t-shirts!

If you’re in San Antonio make sure to grab your tickets and watch the Bumblebee Movie this holiday season!
