Do you know anything about essential oils and fragrance oils?
I was not very savvy on either last week. That’s when I received a package of oils from the Chrislie website for review.
One thing I figured out was do NOT put oils directly on your skin without mixing them with some sort of carrier oil (like olive oil or coconut oil.) I learned this the hard way because I totally put some oil directly on my wrists and felt a weird tingling sensation for a few hours afterwards.
These are the oils I received, they are fragrance oils and I really love how many of them smell. A few need to be blended with other oils for me to enjoy the smell.
My favorite is Bergamot oil, which is known for having calming and uplifting benefits.
Here’s how I’ve been using these fragrance oils:
I don’t have a diffuser so I decided to use my wax warmer.
I added
- 1 Tablespoon coconut oil
- 10 drops of Bergamot
- 10 drops of Ylang Ylang
I like the scent and the fact that you just have to add more drops of fragrance oil as the scent fades.
If you’re like me and want to learn more about the difference of essential oils and fragrance oils. Or just want to learn more about essential oils, I recommend visiting Wellness Mama, her post here gives lots of information on essential oils.
