Splashtown San Antonio

We had so much fun during our first trip to Splashtown. Our only regret  was not taking our 2 year old. I think she would have loved Splashtown, it’s a very toddler and kid-friendly place.

The rain in San Antonio the last few weeks has been no joke! We’ve had flooding, snakes escaping from zoos, a baby rattle snake on our front porch…eek! Last Sunday, my husband, myself and my son and nephew decided to take advantage of the break from all the rain and check out Splashtown.

The boys loved all of the waterslides!

Splashtown – A Mom’s Perspective

We set our flip flops and bag down in a cabana and went off to check out the water slides. After walking around the park I realized Splashtown had tons of waterslides for the older kids and a great area for younger kids (even toddlers) to hang out. Plus it’s not so huge that I would get anxiety about letting my older kids run around from slide to slide. There are free life jackets at the park.

If you rent a cabana you can order food from the cabana instead of standing in line at a food cart. There is also a picnic area outside the park. If you wanted you could pack a picnic lunch in a huge cooler and go out to eat it.Splashtown-Xavier-Headrush

I decided to be cool and go down all the waterslides with the kiddos. Yeah, not the best idea. I get motion sickness so quickly! 🙁 The waterslides were still fun though, motion sickness and all!

Floating around in a cool lazy river was nice. The wave pool was also fun and I noticed they have dive in movies at the wave pool during the summer. I think my kids would love watching a movie while in the wave pool.Splashtown-DOM

We really loved our day at Splashtown in San Antonio. It's a kid-friendly, fun place to spend a hot day in. My favorite part was the lazy river!
