We visited the Magik Theatre to see the play A Wrinkle in Time. My kids and I went over to the Downtown location in Hemisfair Park.

First of all, while my daughter and I were super excited to see the play, my son had to be convinced to go. I loved seeing the look on his face during the play, he turned over and said, “Mom, this is so cool!”

I liked the fact that the concessions were not too pricey, with about $10 we bought popcorn, water and 2 candy bags.

Location & Parking

The Magik Theatre Downtown/Hemisfair, 420 South Alamo, San Antonio, TX 78205

Parking: There is city parking right next to the theater, you have to pre-pay for the amount of time you’ll be parked. Be sure to judge accurately – we got a parking ticket! 🙁

Overall Experience

I love the mission of the Magik Theatre: to bring great children’s books to life onstage, provide families with meaningful shared experiences and spark a love of the arts and literature to last a lifetime. 

I enjoyed my night out with kids, I loved watching their surprise as A Wrinkle in Time was brought to life.

The kids were also super excited to get autographs from the cast and take a few pictures with them!

We’ll definitely be going back for more shows!
